Whole Food Plant-Based nutrition is a diet of whole plant foods including whole grain products, legumes, vegetables and fruits that provide all the nutrients that the human body requires: carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and sufficient calories. A plant-based diet is a lifestyle choice that can be for health issues, cultural, religious or ethical reasons. Or you may eat a plant-based diet to stay healthy and prevent health problems, such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes.

Anyone who has an interest in the goal of better health, preventing and reversing disease, would like to lose weight, has a desire to radically decrease their carbon footprint on the environment, and so much more.

Transitioning to a Whole Food Plant-Based (WFPB) lifestyle is a big goal that requires commitment from you, which is where your "Why" comes in. Figure out your "Why"(your reason) for wanting to achieve this goal. This has to be YOUR reason . . . . not anyone else's . . . . yours and yours alone! Write down your reasons, either in a paragraph or in a list, then put it somewhere you will see it and read it every day. Many people set goals that they never reach, and more often than not, it's because they have not given themselves a compelling enough reason to make the effort, along with the sacrifices they need to reach their goal.
